Clinical Sonologist practicing in rural area were facing lots of problem and hurdles in their practice. Our aim to help all Clinical Sonologists to know about PC-PNDT Rules, Regulations & follow very strictly without being afraid which are created by many behind curtain of this rule. We all are fighting strongly against female foeticide and also aim to expose those involved in unlawful act of Sex Selection and female feticide.

In very short period The FOCS had achieved its goal with enhancement of knowledge and spreading relief among Clinical Sonologist by helping each other whenever and wherever needed. Together we have created an impact and made a difference.

As a founder member of The FOCS I take immense pride to launch our vibrant website to unite all our members and to spread the knowledge to serve unprivileged rural community better.

I also invite all fellow Clinical Sonologists to share the latest in ultrasound imaging, to help all to follow international guidelines in scanning through the website/Case Discussion Group. It will definitely enhance our continue life long upgrading knowledge in ultrasound imaging through different topics discussions and questions and answers.

I also assure my Clinical Sonologist colleagues from different state that we will keep bringing the basic and advance ultrasound guidelines, and practice scenario on regular basis with PC-PNDT related issues also in our website.

The FOCS has a strong team to look after Legal issues and Ethics along with Academic. All are always a call away from you.

Diagnostic ultrasound is a very new modality within the complex field of medicine. Early pioneers used ultrasound for diagnosis on various areas of the body. Slowly the ultrasound community evolved from the practice of the physician delegating work and the Clinical Sonologist performing it to a truly “team” approach. The FOCS was founded in year 2018 to promote, advance and to educate its members and all Clinical Sonologist in day to day Ultrasound procedures. The FOCS is a network of more than 30000 Clinical Sonologist practicing in all specialty.

As a founder member of The Federation Of Clinical Sonologist, I am thankful to all my colleague Clinical Sonologists for joining hands to form this federation from the bottom of my heart. Ultrasound is just not limited to pregnancy scans but it is now an extended basic and essential tool in health care just like a stethoscope. The world is moving towards ‘Point of care Ultrasound’ where it is being advocated that ultrasound should even be able at the warfront for saving lives of our brave soldiers. Skill and compassion go hand in hand when we are able to help and guide exceptional patient care. Our job gives us fulfillment and satisfaction because we are part of something vital that helps to resolve health issues and many times save people’s lives. I am confident that together we will strive and emerge as a federation dedicated to constantly improving scanning expertise and set standards for the same by way of regular upgrading our knowledge, and an organisation that will stand strongly against misuse of the technique that plagues our nation.
